You Can Kill Robin in the New Interactive Batman Movie

Do you know you can potentially kill Robin in the new interactive batman which will let you influence how the story will turn out? Yes, you are not dreaming. The upcoming and much-awaited DC animated film Batman will let you choose your own adventure. Which means the story can unfold in any number of ways depending on the choice the viewer makes. Yes, DC has made this possible and this has got fans all excited about the much-anticipated release.

DC is all set to release the movie Batman: The Death in the family by the end of 2020 along with Superman. What’s interesting is that the choose-your-own-adventure framework is not new and but it’s definitely worth experiencing. The intriguing thing about the new Batman movie is that in one of the timelines, the viewer can make the choices to satisfy the situation, and can end up killing Jason Todd also known as Robin. The movie is an adaptation of the 80’s comic, the death in the family, a prequel to the Batman: Under the Hood. Jason Todd ends up getting killed by the Joker in the movie.

The interactive movie is a new dimension that the DC movies have moved to, as it has never experimented much with it. The viewer will have to make choices at different instances which will lead to different timelines. The most crucial of all those choices being the one that will decide the fate of Robin. What’s fascinating is the choices made in Batman: The Death in the family won’t affect the storyline of Under the Hood. The short film is going to be first of its kind for DC.

The recently released trailer does give a peek into how the writers want the viewers to look at this experiment. But how radically will viewers impact the storyline other than getting Robin killed? It is still a mystery. It’s quite intriguing how audiences are left to their own devices and are being told to choose the fate of such an integral character of the franchise.

Releasing this fall, this thought-provoking movie by DC has already garnered a lot of attention. There are already various speculations floating around regarding the movie and how the different timelines in it might turn out.

So, what will you do if given the opportunity to choose the fate of Batman’s co-conspirator? Would you let Robin die? Or would you protect him?
