What Should You Know about Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra?

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is the first phone to feature the backplane display technology of Samsung. This phone was launched on 5th August, 2020. Read on to learn more about the specs, pros, and drawbacks of this phone.

Color

Initially, it retained its original mystic bronze texture with the addition of a glossy polish. However, it is also being reintroduced in mystic blue color, and the color choice is already available for pre-booking in some countries.

The shiny surface gives it a glamorous look, unlike the one used in previous versions that looked boring at times. Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will definitely catch some eye when you walk on the street, holding it in your hand.

Photography

The intensity of the color can be oversaturated at times in some photos, but the 108-megapixel camera can make you keep using the phone’s camera. The images come to life through a 5X optical zoom. The wide-angle features make it a powerful tool in terms of photography.

S20 had 100X zoom, and that was highly unnecessary. The optimal zoom from distance that gives a vivid photograph should come around 50X range. The AI-assisted zoom of Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra achieves it with ease.

Screen

The screen length is 6.9 inches. The default setting for resolution for images is 2326X1080 pixels, and it can go up to WQHD Plus, which is 3088X1080 pixels. The images are staggering and give you a feel of high definition while you watch a video or read something on the internet.

Galaxy Note Tools

S Pen is a highly useful tool. You can use it to capture a high-resolution screenshot, screen recording, and, also, for creating interesting gifs from a portion of a video. Using S Pen, you can also write on PDFs that you can import to Notes app and denote a screen to it. You can also erase what you have written by double-clicking on the S Pen.

Magnifying zoom is an essential tool to read small fonts on the internet.

Selfies

Why worry about carrying a selfie stick? And why bother keeping a phone at an awkward angle? What if you drop your expensive phone?

Just with a click on the S Pen tool, you can take an effortless and attractive selfie. Face filters options are also available to make your future profile pic more attractive.

Battery Life

Even with the brightness turned off and no Netflix for an entire day, the battery life performance did not satisfy many users. They were expecting more from a high performing 4,500-mAh capacity phone.

Though, the users reported they weren’t using a battery optimization setting.

Camera Risk

The bump of the camera makes it a vulnerable part of the phone, so if you drop it, it will be the first one to hit it. Many users were displeased by how they were unable to use wide-angle features after they dropped the phone.

S Pen Placement

The tool has moved from the right side of the screen to the left, and some users aren’t familiar with it and frankly do not understand the alteration in position.

Default Night Time Screen

Even with brightness to its lowest, the screen is still bright enough to distort your sleepiness at night.

The bright screen is also believed to be responsible for eating a lot of battery. Users would certainly appreciate some improvements in night-time settings.

Heating

As with any electronic item, the device ejects extra heat. It feels warm in your hand and might be challenging to handle for too long on scorching summer days.

Conclusion

The new Samsung phone is undoubtedly an attractive device to have in your pocket. It looks cool in your hand and gives you some exciting features.

However, it has some flaws. Every phone has some flaws in one way or another; and they are not always the deal-breakers.
