What Attracted Robert Pattinson Towards Matt Reeves’ The Batman?

Before The Batman trailer had made an appearance in our lives, many of us were largely convinced that Pattinson’s recruitment as the caped crusader is a highly disputable move, if not a disastrous move.

Then the trailer came and surprised us all. The trailer is swiftly moving towards 30 million worldwide views, and people’s opinion of Robert Pattinson has generally been positive, if not excellent. His “I am vengeance” scene had stormed social media two months back, and there are fans who still cannot get over that scene.

However, doubters have not vanished entirely. Some people think his physique, attitude, and discipline are far away from what is expected from someone playing the coveted role of the iconic action superhero. And his recent struggle with COVID 19 hasn’t helped his cause either.

While some of the arguments of the doubters do make sense, unnecessary skepticism all the time indicates prejudice, which is never good. Now, you might be wondering why Pattinson signed up for the role in the first place? Well, the details of the deal have been looked over at FandomWire.

The editorial published by FandomWire had suggested that the reason why Pattinson was so drawn towards the role is the fact that many established actors had played it before him. He took it as a challenge to showcase to everyone that he can do what the greats have done. Pattinson was well aware of the challenge, and he knew he had to do something which has not been done by Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, and others.

The editorial, which is quite strange at times, has stated that Robert Pattinson was not impressed with his performances in the Twilight films and was very keen on getting the best out of himself in other films. It should be stated that he has shown some exceptional acting skills in recent independent films (The Lighthouse, Good Times).

Pattinson’s supporters argue that he will bring a fresh look to the role, and that is not a bad thing when we consider that Matt Reeves will explore Batman in his very early days.

Some reports have emerged recently, which have suggested that Robert Pattinson can be a difficult man to work with despite the fact that he is generally out of shape in most of the roles he does. Some have gone as far as to say that his working routine clearly lacks discipline.

Despite Robert Pattinson’s philosophical and largely positive responses to the criticism, he would be itching to prove everyone wrong.

The Batman has been delayed to April 2020, and up until then, his doubters can laugh without fear.
