Variks Is All Set to Make a Return in Destiny 2: Beyond Light

Are you eagerly waiting for the release of Destiny 2: Beyond Light? Well if your answer is yes, then we got some good news for you. Recently Bungie has released a new trailer for the game featuring Europa (a moon orbiting Jupiter in Destiny 2), and it appears Variks is all set to make a return in Destiny 2: Beyond Light (an upcoming expansion for Destiny 2). Awesome, right?

The trailer gives us a brief tour of Europa and some of its major locations that you will explore while playing Destiny 2: Beyond Light like:

Eventide Ruins: It is a frozen colony that belongs to Clovis Bray Corporation.

Asterion Abyss: It is the highest tip of the Vex structures.

Cadmus Ridge: It is a frozen landscape in Europa that has the last known Bray Exoscience facility underneath it.

Charon’s Crossing: It is an old communication center on Europa from where you will start your journey in the game (Destiny 2: Beyond Light).

The trailer also includes a voice-over from Variks (the only surviving member of the House of Judgement) whose presence was last felt in the Destiny 2: Forsaken expansion during the prison break which ultimately leads to the death of Cayde-6 in the game.

Additionally, we also got some clues about the plot and upcoming events in the new expansion (Destiny 2: Beyond Light). In the trailer, we also saw an Exo and a Vex unit inside of a test chamber (probably in the Bray Exoscience lab) which means there might be a deeper connection between these two races. We also get to see the first look of the newly designed tech factory in the game along with the return of the Exo Stranger in Destiny 2.

Variks (the only surviving member of the House of Judgement) was last seen in the Destiny:2 Forsaken expansion in which Variks set the entire prison of elders free which ultimately led to the death of Cayden -6 along with the execution of Uldren Sov (brother of Mara Sov). After which he tried to reunite the fallen houses by recruiting imprisoned fallen into the House of Judgement. But now Variks is all set to make his grand return in Destiny 2: Beyond Light. However, his intentions are yet unknown and only time will tell if he returns as a friend or enemy in Destiny 2: Beyond Light expansion.
