The Trial of the Chicago 7 is a phenomenal movie that is directed by Aaron Sorkin. The film is set in the year 1969, in which a group of 7 people (Anti- Vietnam War activists) were charged and accused by the government for instigating a riot and violence at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
The film features many talented actors like Joseph Leonard Gordon-Lewitt, Sacha Baron Cohen, Yahya Abdul Mateen II, Edward Redmayne, and Sir David Mark Rylance. The film is currently available in limited theaters and will be releasing on Netflix next month (16 October).
The two-hour-long film mainly revolves around the trail of 7 anti-Vietnam activists and protestors in which the administration of President Richard Nixon charges them for instigating a riot at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. In the film, we also get to see a glimpse of demonstrations, riots, police brutality that took place in the year 1969.
