The Top 8 Fornite Players Ranked

Fortnite is an online multiplayer game that has blasted off in 2020. With more people staying home than ever, the already popular virtual battleground of Fortnite has become even crazier. Launched in 2017, Fortnite has allowed many names from the E-Sport circuit to gain popularity, wealth, and social status. Certain circles consider Esports just as relevant as outdoor sporting events, a successful transition into mainstream culture for video games. And Fortnite has been at the helm of leading this charge in favor of this new style of competing.

Let’s take a look at the best Fortnite players to watch out for this year-

  • Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf

The first defending champion of the Fortnite World Cup held last year is the favorite to win this year. It is also evident from his online streams after the Championship that he is not slowing down but rather working harder to defend his title. His gameplay is fast, and he does maximum damage with minimal mistakes, making him a lethal competitor.

  • TFue

One of the most known names in the Fortnite world, Turner Tenny, aka ‘Tfue,’ was up until recently playing for the coveted FaZe Clan. He prides himself on being one of the highest-paid Esports players and is best known for playing Fortnite. FaZe calls him one of the best players in the short-spanned history of the game. With numerous high-kill games and victories to his name, Tfue was known as the undefeated king of ‘Competitive Fortnite’.

  • SavageM

Hailing from Norway, SavageM is a highly-skilled, tactical player and one of the best in the EU. He shot to fame after winning a series of games in the Fortnite competitive arena. The odd thing about Savage is that he plays at the highest sensitivity possible on Fortnite. Using utility items is his specialty, which he popularly used during the World Cup last year, to win battles.

Ninja

One of the most well-known names of Esports all over the world, Ninja ‘Tyler’ Blevins, has proved his prowess in Fortnite since the early days. He plays multiple games and aces almost all of them and has a cult following on all streaming sites he’s been on. Currently streaming on Microsoft’s Mixer, he has been very influential in increasing Fortnite’s presence in pop-culture. Over the years, he has garnered quite a huge following with 23.6 million subscribers on YouTube and collaborations with celebrities like Drake and Marshmello. Although, with a few underperformances under his belt, some speculate he might be past his prime.

  • Fray

A technician and thoughtfully lethal, Fray isn’t one of the popular names of the esports world. But the ace players do acknowledge his skill, and he’s known for his smart plays that leave the best of them flustered. Playing for Nakama Esports, we’re going to see him more and more in the upcoming major tourneys.

  • Diggy and Marz

Diggy and Marz, are one of the best duos in the game. Their chemistry and flair were on full display at the recent Winterfest Royale. They have a good following, and their streams are popular in the gaming community. Watch out for this deadly duo this year.

TSM-Myth

One of the OGs of the game, Myth, has been on the Fortnight scene since the beginning. Known for cranking up 90s in the game, he cultivated his method to score that high. He started at a young age and shot to the scene very fast. Inventing your style of play is something that deserves a spot on this list.

  • Wakie

A solid performance in Fortnite Chapter 2, earned Wakie a spot on this list. He hasn’t yet achieved the same popularity as some of the other names here, but certainly deserves mention because of his recent masterful display.

  • Clix

This guy at all of 14 years of age is an esports phenom. He has made more than $190,000 from playing Fortnite. He is ‘mechanically gifted’ and shows way more heart than others his age. Clix has made it to the World Cup twice, and the coveted trophy awaits his development into a full-blown killing machine.

  • EpikWhale

The second runner up from last year’s World Cup, EpiKWhale has not yet made a big name. But he is slowly earning the respect of his peers as well as the fans. With some time and improvement in skills, he’s bound to be a bigwig very soon.
