The Great British Bake Off is a British TV baking competition, produced by Love Productions in which bakers compete against each other is a series of rounds trying to impress the judges with baking skills and one contestant gets eliminated in each round. The winners are selected for being the contestant in the finals. The first episode of the show was aired on 17 August 2010, its first four series broadcast on BBC Two, later BBC Two moved it to BBC One for the next three series, and the next three series aired on that. The show then shifted to Love Productions and signed to a three year deal with the broadcaster Channel 4, so the rest of the series broadcasted in that channel. The show’s deal with BBC has renewal; hence BBC has all global distribution rights of the show up to the year 2028. The program was presented by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins with Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry.

Great British Bake Off released their final trailer, and fans are excited for the show to air their first episode and to wait to see who will be the next Star Baker. Although the show would look different this year due to the COVID and there are changes in some places, most of the changes are behind the camera and not on it. But the audiences are speculating what it will look like? Will they see the Hollywood Handshake? And just why did the contestant Sura knock a rival’s cake?

However, the wait is over, the most awaited show of the television Great British Bake Off has featured on Channel 4 on 22 September. The official twitter handle of the Great British Bake Off account tweeted the news by writing: “Put a little love in your tart. The shooting of the series began at the end of July, with the crew and contestants reportedly having to quarantine for 14 days.

The spokesperson of Love Production, the production that created the show shared that they are working hard to release Bake Off to the audience this year, and the priority is the safety of everyone in the production of the series. Like some other television shows, the shooting of The Great British Bake Off was also delayed due to the pandemic situation. Kieran Smith, the creative director of the production, Love Productions recently shared the difficulties while shooting in this pandemic.

While talking on Radio Times Magazine, Smith revealed that the production of the show was almost on hold after some crew members on the set had the symptoms of COVID-19. He shared they have very strict protocols for the coronavirus. When somebody had any symptoms of coronavirus, they were isolated and anyone who has been in close contact with them. They were immediately tested, and the team paused the shooting for the afternoon. Then they came back with negative, and after that, the team resumed shooting. He added that they are very lucky, and it felt like they need to be extremely unlucky to be corona positive.

The show, Bake Off shared some behind the scenes changes that the show had to go through to work in the current situation. The staff of the production consisted of 120 people and had to live in a self-contained environment for six weeks to shoot the sequences of the upcoming series safely and also allow the crew and cast to work around the guidelines of social-distancing. During the TV Festival, Sandi said what they have done, they created the protocols with production, and they have worked with them to put the testing and quarantine regime beforehand for all talents, crew, and cast. So when they go for a shoot, they know everyone is safe.

She added that people are saying that they are taking the precautions to spend more time with family. At the same time, she is departing the Great British Bake Off so she can spend more time with other work. And as her waistline will testify, Bake Off is a consuming show. She said spending time with Noel, Paul, and Prue has been the greatest pleasure of her life; and these are friendships she will confide beyond the television.

While speaking on the role, Matt shared that he is chuffed to bits and joined the delicious TV show. He can not wait to break bread with his friend and co-judge Paul, Prue, and Noel and the fantastic bakers. Matt also revealed what he would bake for his Showstopper cake when he spoke to Steph McGovern. When the host referred to The Baked Potato Song from proceeding towards the NHS, he said he would baked potatoes of course. And on the question of how emotional he found the competition is, he shared that he would get very invested in it. And he would have to go to his room after the elimination of a baker. The fans of the show were very excited and are waiting for it for a long time. I hope this was a fun article for you.
