How to Fix Could Not Create The Java Virtual Machine Error

If you play games on your device, then you may get a Java related error called Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. This error can often be resolved by reinstalling Java. However, at times reinstallation doesn’t fix the issue. To learn how to solve this error, read on.



1) Settings up a new variable system for java

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Click the Windows + R button on your keyboard to launch the Run Command Prompt.

  2. In the command-line type “sysdm.cpl” and then tap “OK” to launch Windows image.

  3. Click the “Advanced” button on the windows that appear on your screen.

  4. Select the “Environment Variables” tab to launch the next windows on your screen.

  5. In the “System variable” box, select “New” tab.

  6. In the “Variable name text field, type “_JAVA_OPTIONS.”

  7. Then you have to type “–Xmx512M” under the “variable value” text field, which enlarges RAM allocation to 512 MB.

  8. Tap the “OK” tab to close windows.

  9. Now you have to tap the “OK” button under the Environment window.

  10. After the above process, java virtual machine error can resolve.

2) Perform Run as Administrator for Java

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Tap the Windows + Q button on your keyboard to launch “Cortana.”

  2. In the search field type “Java.”

  3. Now right-tap on the java and then click “open file location” to launch java’s folder under the File Explorer.

  4. Now you have to right-tap on the java.exe and then click “Properties.”

  5. Click the “Compatibility” button.

  6. Click “Run this program as administrator” button.

  7. Click the “Apply” button.

  8. Tap “OK” and then close the window.

  9. After the above process, the java virtual machine error can occur due to insufficient rights.

3) Reinstall Java

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Reinstalling java can fix java machine error issues from your device, to do that first you need to uninstall, install the java version by entering the command “appwiz.cpl” in the run command prompt and then tap “OK” button.

  2. In the search box type “Java.”

  3. Click java and the select “Uninstall.’’

  4. Select “Yes” on the confirmation windows that preview.

  5. Now restart your operating system.

  6. Then launch the java download page in the browser.

  7. Here you need 64-bit Java for 64-bit software and 32-bit Java for 32-bit programs software.

  8. If you have any doubt, then you can download and install both java versions through tapping on “Windows offline” or “Windows offline 64-bit.

  9. Now launch the java setup wizard.

  10. Now tap the “Install” tab on the setup features.

  11. After the above process, you need to check the issue resolved.
