Dead to Me’ is a dark comedy web television series that was created by Liz Feldman. This show premieres on Netflix from 3rd of May, 2019. This show has been receiving a lot of positive reviews from its first seasons. The show even got nominated for the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards.
The story of this show is all about the friendship that sparks between Jen and Judy during their therapy sessions. Jen is a recently widowed real estate agent based in Laguna Beach who is trying to come to terms with her loss through exercise, therapy, and other life-altering methods. She lost her husband in a hit and run driving accident. Her coping mechanism to deal with grief is anger and resentment. And it is during one of her group therapy sessions for bereft spouses where she meets Judy. Judy masks her reality by claiming that she is upset about her fiancé who died of a heart attack, but in reality, Judy is the hit-and-run driver, and thus her fiance broke up all the ties with her. Both characters have their struggles and challenges. Jen is in a dark and empty place in her life, whereas Judy maintains a positive disposition for everything she has been through in the past. Both characters form a profound friendship with each other, but as time passes by, Jen becomes more aware of the mystery of her husband’s death and the well-kept secrets of Judy.
You can enjoy both the seasons of the show on Netflix and a lot of fans are waiting for season 3. Fortunately, Netflix has announced the renewal of the show Dead to Me for season 3, and also confirmed that they have signed a multi-year deal with Liz Feldman for original series and other future projects. The show that to me stars Christina Applegate, Linda Cardellini, James Marsden as the three main characters and other important characters are portrayed by Max Jenkins, Luke Roessler, and Sam McCarthy. There are ten episodes each for the first two seasons. The first season has over 86% of positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, and the second season has over 97% of positive reviews. Within the first month of the release of the ‘Dead to Me’ series, the show successfully caught the attention of over 30 million viewers.
What does season 3 hold for the viewers? There is no clarity about the storyline, but according to some speculations, detective Perez will discover the cues about the murder mystery and the dead body will be found. As one part of the story starts to untangle, another trouble knocks Jen and Judy. They don’t know about Steve’s twin brother Ben as he was the one who got hit by the car. The fans can expect for a lot of tea is going to be spilled in the third season of Dead To Me.
